College Students bring Christmas Cheer to Stafford Hospital

A group of social care students from Stafford College visited the town’s hospital on 20 December to distribute Christmas hampers to patients.
 

The hampers, which the students had put together themselves, were filled with festive treats including gifts, food and toiletries and were given to patients who were about to go home and may not have had time to do any Christmas shopping.
 

Elizabeth Gooch, of Age UK South Staffordshire, who worked with the students to co-ordinate the visit, said: ‘These young people have really shown the Christmas spirit by thinking of those in hospital and collecting money and gifts for them to take home.  We are very proud to be working with them.’
