Works to Car Park at Stafford Hospital
12 November 2012
On Monday 12
th November works will begin to widen the Stafford Hospital access road adjacent to the visitors’ car parks to improve traffic flow to the main entrance, so vehicles queuing for car parks have a separate lane and other vehicles, in particular buses, can continue unobstructed.
The project will
-
Form part of the future car parking strategy by improving access to work via public transport.
-
Aid flow of traffic during peak times and prevent grid lock situations
-
Improve access to site by public transport
-
Reduce the number of complaints to the Trust around access
The works are being carried out by Staffordshire County Council with a duration of 6 weeks. We are advised the works will have a minimal impact on traffic, but may cause a small amount of disruption which will be planned to avoid peak times wherever possible.
The project links with the County Council’s Business Travel Network Plan, in which the Trust is a Partner.
