Stafford Hospital

Stafford Hospital has a wide range of services and facilities for families and visitors. These include shops and a restaurant.
 

Nightingales Restaurant


Pay a visit to Nightingales restaurant where you will be assured a warm welcome from our friendly catering team. The 200-seater restaurant is located on the first floor of Stafford Hospital, opposite Ward 8, and is open Monday – Friday between 8:30am and 7:00pm

Opening times are:

We are open from 8:30am until 7:00pm Monday to Friday
Breakfast 8:30am - 11:15am
Lunch 12 noon - 2:15pm
Supper 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Breakfast is served Monday to Friday between  8:30am and 11:15am.
Come and enjoy a full English breakfast or if you prefer something lighter, then choose from our range of breakfast snacks including delicious bacon or sausage baps, cheese on toast as well as the regular breakfast service items.

Lunch is served Monday to Friday between 12 noon – 2.15pm. You can choose from our selection of homemade hot menu items, in addition, we operate a full call order service which includes filled jacket potatoes, panini’s, toasted sandwiches or an omelette of your choice. We also offer a range of freshly produced sandwiches, filled rolls, salads and salad bowls which are all prepared on the premises by our catering team. You may also be tempted to treat yourself to one of our delicious hot or cold desserts to complete your meal.

Afternoon Tea is on offer Monday to Friday between 2.15pm and 5.00pm when you can join us for a cup of tea or coffee in addition to cold beverages, homemade cakes, sandwiches and hot/cold snacks which include hot sausage rolls, pasties and pizzas.

Evening meals are served Monday to Friday between 5.00pm – 7.00pm where you can choose from main course menu items from our hot counter or a filled Panini, jacket potato, omelette or toasted sandwich from our call order menu, or you may prefer to opt for one of our fresh salads, sandwiches or filled rolls.
 
Special diets are also catered for, subject to availability.

There is a suggestion box sited within the restaurant corridor whereby you are invited to make any comments that you feel are necessary relating to your experiences within Nightingales – you may wish to suggest menu items that you would like to appear on our menu, for example. We will always ensure that your suggestions and comments are taken into consideration, as feedback is very important in order that we ensure our customers’ satisfaction.

Between restaurant opening times and at the weekend we have a range of catering on offer from our vending service in ‘Nightingales Retreat’ which is situated in Nightingales restaurant corridor. Here you can purchase a range of hot & cold menu items in addition to drinks, crisps and confectionary products. There is also a range of hot or cold beverage machines located in other areas across the hospital.
There is also a snack vending machine located in the waiting area in the A&E Department.


Newsagent: WHSmith


Opening hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday – 9am to 7pm.
WHSmith stocks a wide range of drinks, sweets, snacks, newspapers, magazines and toiletries such as toothbrushes, tissues and shampoo.

Bakery: La Patisserie


Opening hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 6:30pm; Saturday – 10am to 6pm.
La Patisserie offers an extensive selection of ready made and made to order sandwiches and baked goods such as pasties and pies, cakes and pastries.


Coffee Shop


The Stafford and Cannock Hospitals League of Friends has a coffee shop located in the Outpatients Department, on the ground floor.

Cannock Chase Hospital

The League of Friends have a coffee bar on Level 2 next to the Assessment Unit

Trolley Service and Library Service
The Stafford and Cannock League of Hospital Friends also provides a daily trolley service to wards at both hospitals, selling soft drinks and confectionary.
